House of HR

Many PowerHouses, One Incident Platform

“We want to create an environment where everyone feels safe and respected. That means having clear policies, but also making sure people know they can report concerns without fear.”

—Thomas Decruy

House of HR’s Risk & Sustainability Manager

House of HR is a collective of high-performing talent specialists, dedicated to connecting people with the right opportunities. With an entrepreneurial spirit and a deep commitment to human potential, they’re focused on shaping the future of work.

We spoke to Thomas Decruy, House of HR’s Risk & Sustainability Manager, who ensures the HR services group grows responsibly. House of HR operates with a decentralized structure: It has 10 main companies, known as PowerHouses. These PowerHouses oversee over 50 smaller boutique brands, each bringing specialized expertise to HR services. Thomas builds frameworks to keep everything compliant while giving each PowerHouse the freedom to run their businesses effectively. In a fast-growing web of organizations, he provides the balance to keep everything running smoothly.

Why House of HR needed a better reporting process

Before adopting Spot, House of HR had no formal platform for handling reports of workplace issues. Employees had to go directly to their manager or HR. As the company grew, they wanted a solution that would be convenient and easy for their employees, while reducing paperwork for HR.

“We always had local initiatives, but approaches varied across boutiques and powerhouses. We wanted consistency across the board so that all employees had the same tool for reporting .”

House of HR set out to find an anonymous complaint software that would:

  • Provide a structured and easy-to-use platform for reporting
  • Allow employees to report concerns anonymously while ensuring follow-up capabilities
  • Adapt to the company’s decentralized structure, ensuring reports were handled locally
  • Offer a clear audit trail for better oversight at the top level

The impact of Spot: More structure, more trust

Since rolling out Spot, House of HR has seen a significant shift in how workplace issues are handled. For employees, the process of reporting misconduct is now far simpler and more accessible.

“We’re a very entrepreneurial company, so things move fast. Spot makes reporting easy—no complicated workflow, no endless steps. People just go on Spot and report. That accessibility was crucial for us.”

For their Whistleblowing Officers and Trust People, Spot introduced much-needed structure and transparency. Reports are no longer handled inconsistently across locations. Instead, everything is tracked within Spot, allowing for seamless case management.

“Before, these cases were handled through emails and calls, and we knew we wanted a solution fit for a growing company. We wanted to ensure the holding level had full visibility. Now, we can monitor reports, ensure they’re addressed properly, and provide guidance if needed.”

The Spot features House of HR loves

House of HR had a clear goal in mind when searching for an incident reporting tool. The features they sought and now love are:

  • Anonymous reporting
  • Localized case management – Reports are handled within each powerhouse, maintaining confidentiality while ensuring high-level oversight.
  • Clear audit trail – Every case has a documented, timestamped, easily downloaded history, making it easy for admins to track and follow up on reports or prepare for audits.
  • User-friendly interface – Everyone can navigate Spot with ease, eliminating unnecessary barriers to reporting and ensuring that people speak up before things escalate.
  • Multi-language support – With operations in multiple countries, the ability to use Spot in different languages was a major advantage. House of HR uses Spot in Dutch, English, French, German, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, and Spanish.

Taking a clear stand against harassment, violence, and misconduct

At House of HR, creating a respectful workplace is more than talk. Their anti-violence and harassment policy sets clear expectations for behavior and communicates the right channels to report misconduct.

“We want to create an environment where everyone feels safe and respected. That means having clear policies, but also making sure people know they can report concerns without fear.”

The company has even incorporated Spot into its employee training, ensuring that everyone knows how to report misconduct and why it matters. As Thomas puts it:

“It’s about making sure misconduct doesn’t go unnoticed. We don’t want issues to stay underground—we want to address them. Spot helps us do that.”

Building supportive, productive workplace culture

At House of HR, creating a strong workplace culture isn’t just about offering great benefits. it’s about making sure employees feel heard and supported. That commitment extends to company-wide events.

Spot isn’t just available across all of House of HR’s powerhouses and boutiques, it’s also accessible during large gatherings, including their last “happy rebel” festival. By providing a Spot QR code that allows attendees to report concerns directly from their phones, House of HR guarantees that employees have a clear, easy way to speak up, no matter where they are.

A tool that scales with the company

House of HR currently operates 700 branches across Europe and employs over 5,500 internal employees. As they continue to grow, Spot remains an essential part of their Risk and Sustainability strategy. The platform has not only improved compliance but has also strengthened employee trust.

“For a company of our size, not having a platform like Spot would be unthinkable. It has made us more professional, more structured, and more transparent. I’d absolutely recommend it to any company looking to improve workplace reporting.”

By making it easier for employees to speak up, Spot has helped House of HR create a more accountable workplace, where everyone knows their voice matters.
